Privacy Policy

CanaryReports is built for founders who care about protecting their ideas. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and — just as importantly — what we don't do.

What We Collect

Idea Data — How We Handle Your Submissions

This is the section most founders care about, so we want to be crystal clear about every detail.

  • Your idea text is processed in real-time during report generation. It is not stored in any database after your report is delivered.
  • When we query third-party data APIs (Google Trends, Reddit, etc.), we send generic keyword searches only — never your full idea description.
  • Idea text is sent to AI providers (Anthropic Claude and OpenAI) for analysis. Per their data policies, they do not train on API inputs.
  • We do not build a database of user ideas.
  • We do not sell, share, or monetize idea submissions.
  • Report results may be cached temporarily (up to 24 hours) for performance, then automatically deleted.
  • Note: Anonymized fragments (first 100 characters) may be logged in analytics for product improvement purposes.
  • When you pay for a report, a truncated version of your idea is stored in Stripe session metadata so we can retrieve your order.

Payment Processing

All payments are handled by Stripe. We never see, access, or store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security certification.

Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand page views and our conversion funnel. GA4 may set cookies on your browser. You can opt out via your browser's built-in cookie settings or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Extension.

We do not use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels. There are no third-party ad trackers on CanaryReports.

Third-Party Services

We rely on the following services to deliver CanaryReports. Each has its own privacy policy:
