By using CanaryReports, you agree to the following terms. They're written in plain language because we believe clarity matters more than legalese.
Service Description
CanaryReports provides startup idea validation reports using publicly available data sources and AI analysis. Reports are generated in real-time by querying third-party APIs and synthesizing the results with AI models. The service is available at canaryreports.com.
Acceptable Use
You may use CanaryReports for personal and commercial research purposes. The following are not permitted:
- Generating misleading reports for fraudulent fundraising or deceptive business practices.
- Reverse-engineering, scraping, or abusing our API or underlying infrastructure.
- Submitting content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
- Automated or bulk access without an Agency tier subscription or written permission from us.
Payments & Refunds
- Free Peek — free, no payment required.
- Quick Scan ($5) and Full Report ($20) — one-time payments processed by Stripe.
Reports are delivered instantly after payment. Due to the digital nature of the product, all sales are final. If you experience a technical error on our end that prevents report delivery, we will re-run the report or issue a full refund.
Please contact support@canaryreports.com before initiating a chargeback — we are happy to resolve issues directly and quickly.
Report Accuracy & Disclaimer
Reports are informational only and do not constitute business, financial, legal, or investment advice.
- Data sourced from third-party APIs may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate.
- AI analysis may contain errors or hallucinations.
- Market conditions change rapidly — a report reflects a single point in time.
- Do not make significant business decisions based solely on our reports.
We are not liable for any decisions you make based on report content.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
Intellectual Property
- Your idea — you retain full ownership. Using CanaryReports does not transfer any intellectual property rights to us.
- Your report — you own the generated report. Share it, publish it, use it however you wish.
- Our brand — the CanaryReports name, design, and codebase remain our intellectual property.
- Third-party data included in reports is subject to the respective provider's terms of service.
Idea Privacy
We do not store, share, or monetize your idea submissions. Your idea text is processed in real-time and discarded after report delivery. For full details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms. We may also refuse service at our discretion.
Limitation of Liability
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific report in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Diego County, California.
